This conceptual piece built of cherry and deer antler, wile designed to display the owners archery bow, is meant to draw the viewers eye up from the refined modern geometric design at the bottom, to the completely natural decayed wood at the top, leaving the bow in the middle to represent the connection between the modern hunter and his primal instinct to hunt.
These bottle openers, crafted for Knox County Brewing Co. in Galesburg, IL., are 100% built in our shop right down to the custom designed opener mechanism! The metal parts are assembled using common steel hardware, shaped and welded together. They are then copper plated, in house, and shellacked to provide some protection from tarnishing. The handles are all unique, using different wood species and different shapes, some are even fitted for a left or right hand. Finally they are branded with the company logo, signed by the maker, and fitted with wooden tags ready for sale.
A once in a lifetime job this ticket takers desk was commissioned for a railroad collectors private display of antique memorabilia. The entire set of this museum quality circa 1950's era rural train depot was constructed in the collectors home. This ticket takers desk is complete with a cash drawer, hand carved dished center for passing tickets to the train rider, and custom designed corbels all made in period style, drawing from hundreds of photos of actual 50's era train depots.
A view from the station agents dutch door, me (standing), my son, and a lifelong friend (David Cole) act out an interaction between the station agent and the lazy conductor and engineer urging them to " Get That Train Moving"!! I should add the hats we are wearing are genuine and had very high price tags attached to them... Sorry Dale. We were very careful not to damage them.

This handmade serving tray is now finished with a food safe oil that is safe to eat off of and enhances the natural beauty of the wood. This tray can be used as a charcuterie board, cheese tray, cookie tray or any other food serving use. Or, it could just be displayed as a piece of wood art. Enjoy!
